Project Overview

The residence caters to a younger couple with two kids along with their parents, totaling three couples and two children. Spatial planning provides distinct bedrooms, ample family and living spaces, utility areas, and landscape zones, ensuring privacy and comfort for all generations. The open-plan layouts and natural transitions between indoors and outdoors foster togetherness while respecting personal boundaries.

This residence is designed for Dr.Lokesh and Dr. Shobha  as a multi-generational family and emphasizes functional, user-friendly living while integrating sustainable and community-friendly elements.

Functional and User-Friendly Features

  • All rooms are efficiently organized for easy movement and accessibility.
  • Ample common areas such as living and dining rooms, family spaces, and balconies enhance social interaction while offering personal retreats.
  • Utility, storage, and service amenities (lift, servant room, toilets) are integrated for seamless day-to-day operations.

Sustainable Design Principles

  • Rainwater harvesting is incorporated to conserve water and preserve local resources by collecting and repurposing rainwater within the landscape and utility systems.
  • The house is naturally lit with large windows, open courtyards, and minimal dependence on artificial lighting, reducing energy consumption and costs.

Material Palette

  • Materials such as marble and teak wood are chosen for their natural quality, local availability, and lifespan, reducing the carbon footprint and supporting local industries.
  • All finishes reflect durability and ease of maintenance, making the home inviting and resilient.

Landscape and Environmental Benefits

  • Generous landscape areas and open terraces balance open and closed spaces, improving microclimate comfort and offering recreational possibilities.
  • Green spaces positively contribute to visual appeal, air quality, and act as buffers for privacy.
  • Community impact is enhanced through responsible engagement with the environment, supporting ecological balance and social health.
  • This thoughtful blend of contemporary comforts, resource-saving systems, and local materials makes this residence both a warm family home and an exemplary sustainable asset for its community.

The family was seeking a design that balances privacy with togetherness, provides comfortable living spaces for each generation, and enables a harmonious lifestyle under one roof and that’s what NISHVIK truly gave them back.
